This oceanside resort on Bali’s south coast injects a new spirit of adventure and discovery into Indonesian offering an intimate resort an hour’s drive north of Canggu. Canggu is a coastal settlement backing a six-mile-long beach lapped by the Indian Ocean. It has retained its authentic Indonesian character where other coastal strips have lost their identity to international tourism. Canggu still has rice paddies as part of its landscape, as well as some of Bali’s best surf breaks directly in front of the resort. COMO Uma Canggu might just be seven miles from the bustle of Seminyak, but it feels a world apart, with an authentic emphasis on active living, healthy eating, and good times with family and friends.

The resort, which occupies 2.2 acres of ground, has been designed to COMO’s highest principles of sophisticated living, with 119 contemporary rooms, suites, one- and two-bedroom residences, as well as three-bedroom duplex penthouses featuring individual rooftop pools. The aesthetic breaks new ground for beachside Bali, combining modern Asian and Italian touches created by interior designers Koichiro Ikebuchi and Paola Navone.

ACCOMMODATION
The 52 rooms and suites at COMO Uma Canggu are light and airy, with elegant interiors and pared-back furnishings. The resort also has 55 one- and two-bedroom surfside residences, and 12 three-bedroom duplex COMO Penthouses. These offer the ultimate beachside accommodation, with rooftop pools and private butler services.

DINING
Cuisine at COMO Uma Canggu focuses on local, carefully-sourced produce from across the archipelago, with nourishing and energising cuisine at both dining venues. World-class dining is available at the social heart of the resort, COMO Beach Club. A charcoal grill, used for meat, seafood and vegetables, will impart rich, smoky flavours.

WELLNESS
COMO Shambhala Retreat at COMO Uma Canggu specialises in hands-on healing and holistic treatments inspired by modern science and ancient Eastern wisdom. Experts provide daily wellbeing classes including yoga and Pilates.  A variety of massages, facials and beauty treatments are also available, utilising carefully selected products and COMO Shambhala’s signature blends of essential oils. The wellness centre offers eight discrete treatment rooms — including two double rooms for couples’ treatments.
